Bedroom Glam

Decorating my home has always been a passion.  I love to be surrounded by beautiful elements and decor and since I’d spent the better part of two years lounging in my bedroom in a funk, it was time to incorporate a light, bright and airy atmosphere into my boudoir.

When I first saw my Oliver Gal print on a Home Goods Run I fell in love and of course it came home with me.

As I was trying to determine how to change up my bedroom I kept coming back to it.  I loved the clean understated frame and of course I LOVE a stiletto!  Orange is another favorite color of mine, it is always a warm color and represents happiness.  I knew I wanted to paint but I wasn’t certain what color.  My bedroom walls had been green and I loved the green but I was itching for a change, the green just didn’t evoke the same feeling.

I pulled the color palette from my Oliver Gal print, white, grey and orange.  I have to admit I’d been on a grey kick for a few years.  So it was the next logical choice for a wall color to give the crisp and airy feel I was craving.

The biggest impact is the wall color.  I spent less than $60 on paint (only needed 1 of the 2 cans I purchased) from Home Depot.  Behr paint is my go to paint.  If you are looking for major impact without spending tons of money always, always refresh with paint.  This was my New Years Eve project and it was time well spent.  I woke up January 1, 2017 to a brand new outlook.  I’ve incorporated tons of glam elements into my room (chic trays and can we talk about faux fur!!!) and I’m loving it!

It is still a work in progress but that is the best part of decorating, taking your time to find the pieces that you love and speak to you.  Your space should always be a reflection of YOU, so take your time and don’t settle just to get it finished.   I’ve been scoring major pieces from Ross over the past few months like the faux fur and chrome stool and pillows.  The round Mongolian Faux fur pillows are from Pier 1 (that’s how the faux fur obsession began).

Thanks for checking our my Glam Candi Chic bedroom!  XOXO
