It all started Friday, I was in a pretty uninspired mood,  after a kind stranger paid for my Starbucks order I decided it was time to put my positive vibe in place, I even made a positive FB post about it trying to get out of my funk but I got to the plantation and was still NOT FEELING IT!

You know how those days go, everyone is just annoying and even their breathing is just working that last patient nerve.  I decided it was indeed time for some retail therapy.  A few weeks back I’d ventured into Nordstrom Rack and quite unexpectedly happened upon this lovely pair of single sole black suede stilettos.  I tried ’em on and they fit lovely.  Ya girl loves a pointed toe**ahem**but…I was trying to behave and decided that I’d pass and if it was meant to be they’d be here when I return.  It wasn’t a day that went by those gorgeous babies didn’t cross my mind.

New Shoes Inspiring New Attitudes…

I’d finally returned ya’ll and guess what?!!!  My gorgeous black suede stilettos were right where I’d left them, looking almost as if they hadn’t even been distributed.  OoooKayyyy now I’m feeling A LOT better <insert ear to ear grin here> now the best part…I got these lovelies for a STEAL!

Nordstrom Rack was having an additional 25% off clearance so I picked up another pair of fabulous shoes for a song…I’m working on a look to pair with these lovelies, yes I do often put my looks together around a pair of shoes.  I’m a shoe addict, what can I say!

Needless to say when a friend extended an invitation out for J Dilla night I couldn’t turn it down.  I mean hey I had the stilettos and they were ready to go.  

I was feeling edgy glam was in order so I paired my dark wash denim jeggins with a black BOSS tee and my black cropped Moto Jacket. A sleek high bun (which I won’t go into how freaking long it took me to get this bun right…)

and to finish it off with my sparkly Chloe + Isabel aka candi   Starburst Statement Necklace and Cocktail Hour CZ Baguette Ring and of course I never leave home with out my red lip (Mac Ruby Woo).

I had a great time, a few drinks and some intelligent conversation it was a win win!
